Sometimes the best way to build a new network, add a new network feature, or solve a network problem is to examine working networks implemented and used by others.
This area is for descriptions, photos, narrations, and movies about real-world LANs and internetworks, and how they were put together. Some are as simple as a DSL connection to a cable modem connected by Ethernet to a single PC. Others involve multiple routers with multiple subnets, multiple collision domains, a suite of servers, and multiple wireless access points. If you have a network description that's appropriate for publication here, please send email to pubs@AskMisterWizard.com.
