Our Internet Videos are divided into two parts. In part 1, we study the basics: how Internet messages are divided up into Internet Protocol Packets, how IP addresses and Internet addresses work and how the available Internet address space is divided up into various "classes", how routers divide the worldwide Internet into smaller "subnets", and how your own local router separates your LAN from the Internet and allows you to share a single Internet address with two or more computers inside your home or small office.

In part 2, we study more advanced concepts: How to manage your own router and other network equipment, and how to offer "servers" or "services" to the public via the worldwide Internet. We show how to manage IP addresses within your local LAN, how to configure your local router to allow public access from the Internet to one or more of your local services, and how to facilitate advertising your single public Internet address so that your services are easier for interested Internet users to find.
